What does everyone think about virgin central replacing sky 1 with old series of little Britain and the office and crappy American programs like miami vice?

For the moment Virgin Central is nothing more than a "taster" of all the cable on-demand services. You can actually get Brass Eye already if you select 4 on Demand in Teleport TV/TV Choice on Demand/whatever it's called on your box. Now they don't have to pay for Sky One et al they might spend the money on something better for it, you never know...

But I still think that when all the publicity has died down, they'll quietly arrange a deal with Sky and we'll all forget this happened.

I can't even get virgin central to work. I've seen the menu twice. Every other time I've pressed red all I get is plaese wait, loading or something like that. What's the point of a channel we can't get?

i think its great, not little britain, but virgin taking on sky. ruperts company is not about the viewer. it stole lost from c4 causing lots of fans to miss out. given a little time, virgin'll be great. they've promised to spend the amout sky wanted for their channel on new programs. they've just got to find them. this is sky's ploy to get more customers me thinks. don't abondon ship, it wont be long! richard branson is an absolute ledgend, he'll get it sorted.
