Zelda Twilight Princess question - stuck in "the city in the sky"...?

Question

The dragon broke the bridge after I crossed it, but then I had to save the game and go do something else. Now, when I start the game i'm in the beginning of the city in the sky, with no way to get across the bridge that was broken...can anyone help? Is this a glitch or am I missing something? I was never able to get the double hookshot because I didn't get to the miniboss yet...

I think the dragon breaks the bridge when you first cross it, and I don't have the key...it kinda sucks, I think its a glitch

I'm looking through my guide and I'm not finding anything helpful like alternate routes.. let me turn on the ol' wii and I'll see if I can find an alternate way across.

edit - okay, from the central Fan Room, you should have gone east originally, through the grated window with a whole in the grate, where you would've found a hole for the spinner, which would've opened the bridge. the first time across, you should've reached the tower where at the moment you have limited access. You would have gotten a small key, and headed back across the bridge, which is when the dragon would crash into it. As long as you got the small key before the dragon wrecked the bridge you should be good to go. Then you just head west and continue on. If you did not get the key... then I think your stuck. The only way to get across is by clawshotting across the peahats, but you need the double clawshots, and to get to them, you need that first key.... I'll keep looking for a way though, and if I find one I'll edit this

I'm not sure but I think you can go another way. I am pretty sure that is supposed to happen, but if you crossed the bridge and he broke it after you crossed then your screwed. check gamefaqs.com to see if you have to start over or not
