I mean did we really need to create a bomb that was capable of annihalating an entire city/country?
Could anything good ever have come from such a thing?
It's too bad sanctions weren't put in place THEN. Where was sanity hiding when someone said "Hey, let's create the nuclear bomb!!!"
We're just on the receiving end of "what goes around comes around" at this stage of existence.

Wingshit are you serious? I can't believe the crap you people spew out. You kill millions of innocents and think it's justified. You had the technology first. It was made for use in Hiroshima. No one KNEW how devestating it was going to be as it was never tried.
Why don't YOU educate yourself before talking. Hundreds of thousands of people suffered and continue to suffer because of that and the land still isn't inhabitable....and you call yourselves educated. Sanctions should have be put on everyone as I said...quit giving yourselves more credit than you have any right to.

is6005, let me ask you something: do you feel safer now knowing that everyone likely has these bombs and they are pointed at every major city in the world?
Did you all forget about the COLD WAR and the stockpiling of nuclear arms?
Did you know how close you came to being cigar ash with the Cuba Missle Crisis?
Don't tell me about history. I don't know where some of you get your information. Try opening a book.

I use to wonder about that too. It seemed something more than ' overkill. ' Too, there was a dimension about it I couldn't understand til much later.
The world is filled with evil people. Nobody may want to admit that, but that's how it really is. Evil people act in concert.
A crowd will show up just for the sake of evil, but to do what is right ... don't hold your breath. As if this weren't enough, they are all very proud of that. Compound that with the fact, most people - are cowardly. They'll follow along.
So then, this thing came out of nowhere precisely to be able to eradicate large groups of people at any one time in any one place, and make the ground they stand on, poison.
Like what it is before it is bombed. Where ever the evil and corrupt are, no matter how pretty the scenery, it's poisoned.
The odd thing about the bomb is that it has only ever been exploded ... twice ... over a live target.
A number the waves of evil people one encounters ... seems to arrogantly like to flaunt in non verbal, uninvited, unsolicited communication.
I hope this helps.

If America had not created the bomb first then someone else would have. Don't be naieve enough to assume only Americans were working on the doomsday weapon. Also, don't be naieve enough to assume no one else would have used it first either. I admit I am sorry there are such things, but that doesn't change the fact that the world is full of like minded people who want to destroy, so it comes down to who can destroy who first. Not a pleasant thought, but not one isolated to a single country either. The competition to be the most powerful is everpresent.

To kill hundreds of enemies swiftly in one attack.
Yes, we did need to create such a thing.
And a lot of good did come from such a thing. Namely the end of World War 2.

Huh? Does sanity run in your family at all? The bomb was created to stop a war that was killing millions, and it did, and it saved millions of lives doing so! What you missed History class?

Because the world was at war. When in war, countries develop new weapons to lessen their own troop loss. Sad, but true.

We were in a war! If we didn't invent it either the Germanys or the Japanees would and would have used it against us, which would you rather have? Someone was going to invent it aren't you glad the US did it first?

I think you need to find out more about history. We developed it because the Germans were developing it. You sound like you are ashamed of something.
