I get just about all mine through the usenet news groups.
Most ISPs provide newsreader service, so all you need is a newsreader application, like Xnews, Free Agent. There are tons of categories, by decade, genre and you can request what you want if you don't find it among the thousands of songs posted daily. If for some reason your ISP doesn't provide this service there are very cheap alternatives.

look for newsgroups with "music" or "mp3" in the names
