It definately sounds like a girls name to me, i think its something to do with the 'lynn', maybe if you take that away, and change some of the letters to make it a boys name, how about Mi'kai pr onounced Ma-kye.

Be honest? Okay. It's dreadful.
Variations on 'Ma-kay-lynn' are far too common these days.
Anything with apostrophes and capitals in the middle of it is just trashy. And what a bloody nightmare it would be to give that name to somebody over the phone...
Anything that requires a lot of explanation, pronunciation-wise or otherwise, is a bad idea. And, in this case, the pronunciation doesn't match the spelling at all.
Really, would you see a doctor or lawyer named Mi'Keylynn?
It's not masculine in the least.
I'm hoping this is a joke question, though.

My honest opinion is don't do it. My step-daughters name is Makalya (pronounced Ma kay la)and her mother thougth it would be a uniqe twist to the name. well everyone pronunces it the way it looks ma kal ya. She gets so mad and then has to tell these people how her name sounds. your child will spend it's entire life trying to correct people on how to say her name. change the Key to Kai or Kay other than that it is a pretty name for a girl

honestly i like it for a girl if the name is broken down you could get 3 beautiful girls' names ... May Kay Lynn.... I personally would look up the meanings of these names to understand why i want to call my child this. for instance my name means " lily of the valley" ... just try it maybe it can help you.

Yes I consider anything with lynn in it to be a girl name. You can not turn this into a males name. If you feel that strongly about using it drop the ynn and try Mi'Keyl and pronounce it anyway you want.

Honestly, it's a terrible name. How it could be turned into a boy's name, I don't know. What ever you do, keep in mind, the child will have to take this name into adulthood. Try to imagine a grown man with a name that is a variation of Mi'Keylynn.

Isn't that Superman's mom's name?
First, if you have to give a pronunciation and at least two of the letters don't sound like what they are supposed to sound like, the name is problematic. I doesn't sound like A. I am hard pressed to think of a word in which the E before a Y sounds like an A.
Second, what the heck is the apostrophe for?
Hopefully she will grow up and marry Pa'BallyBub (Pronounced Pa-Billy-Bob.)
This name is a disgrace.

It is definitly a girl name. To make it more a boy name try Mi'kale or Makale pronounced Ma-kale or Mi'kile or Makile pronounce Ma-Kyle.
