Prejudice is judging someone before you know them, it comes from the Romans, but racism is acting on that prejudice, discriminating because of it
To be honest the others are wrong 'I hate fat people' is not prejudice , 'All fat people cant run' for example is because you judge all fat people before you know them

Do you KNOW the difference? 'Racism' is a 'form of' 'prejudice' so of course when a person is posting a question about 'racism' it is also asking about 'prejudice' ... the two go 'hand in glove' together, even though 'prejudice' in general goes a lot farther than 'simple racism.'

Racism: It exist on 2 levels. The individual level is the “belief that some racial groups are naturally superior and others are inferior.” The institutional level involves “discriminatory policies.”

Prejudice: Attitudes of aversion or hostility toward a group simply because they belong to it and hence are presumed to have the objectionable qualities ascribed to it. (Allport, 1954; Devine, 1989)
