Please could some one give me some information about setting up my own web page?
I have no ideal what to do, I was thinking of paying someone to do it for me but if i can learn how to do it myself that would be better.

Couldn't be easier. Yahoo have a WYSIWYG pagebuilder which is so easy to use. (What You See Is What You Get). A quick play with functions and you pick up all you need to build a nice little site (not really suitable for business) within 15 minutes.
