councils usually say same sex children can share a bedroom, but once you get a house you can put in for an exchange within 6 months, then you can say you want 3 bedrooms for a 2 bedroom

Sorry but it might depend on the council. I had a friend who had two children, one boy and one girl, and the council gave her a two bedroom flat. Her friend, who had one child was given a three bedroom house!

Well in Ireland with two girls it would be 2 bed house list. With one boy one girl it's 3 bed list.

Crazy but true.

I have my own house if I have girl after my boy they'll have to share a room, but if I was on a list I'd get a 3 bed house.

Depends on your specific council. One would say one thing where as the next one would give you a completely different answer.
