My husband and I seem to not be speaking to eachother. Every year he goes through a mood where for a month or so he is absent from our lives. He'll come home long enough to shower and sleep a few hours but that is it. I asked a question before and someone told me he might have a huge case of the winter blues.
This year seems to be much worse in the fact that he usually would at least talk to me while he would be running in and out. This year, he will only give me a short answer if I ask him a question and makes it painfully clear he isn't interested in talking with me. At night, he is sure to keep his distance in bed laying on the very edge (Usually he is in the middle hogging it all!)
I tried to ask him what was wrong anticipating the usual "You're not sexual enough and I won't beg" speech but instead he laid there and said nothing(If we aren't having sex more than 3 times a week he isn't happy and says I don't love him)
How long have you gone without talking to your love one?

For the guy who posted he wasn't happy in his marriage, I could see my husband acting this way if that was the case but wouldn't it have came on slowly. We went from happy go lucky the day after Valentines, everything was fine with us. He left and went down to KY for 3 days with his grandfather and friend and came back not talking to me. I don't know what happened down there that turned the switch so fast and I've tried to ask him but he won't tell me anything.
As I said, he will usually at least talk to me while he is going through his little mood swing in the spring, but this time he isn't even doing that.

Talking 3 days, time with out sex 3mths! I tried to be understanding and just told him i would listen if and when he wanted to talk. There is this great trick i leaned from our couples therapist, you sit facing each other holding hands, then you take turns talking BUT and here is the catch while he is talking you cant say anything! And vise verse. That way you can open up with our fear of rejection or yelling etc.

I'm a man, and I act this way occasionally. I'll tell you why. It's because i'm not happy in my marriage. I feel like my life is spent and ruined. I'm having a mid-life crisis at the age of 26.
I don't ever tell my wife she doesn't love me. I just realize she has the sex drive of a dead fish. You'd better do something crazy and change things up before he goes out and finds himself a trashy hooker or a teenage $lut to satisfy his needs.
And don't think he is too good to do something like that. Personally, i've been looking for a nice new piece of a$$ myself!

It hasn't befell, a minimum of no longer yet. we've had moments of silence, and in all hazard we would drop the priority for somewhat yet we are able to communicate approximately different issues. we've in no way intentionally given one yet another the silent scientific care. i in simple terms can no longer get into that-whether i needed to. i in simple terms can no longer forget approximately somebody like that. My ex-husband did however, as quickly as he thoroughly skipped over me for a whole week. He would not respond to any greeting, answer any questions-ineffective silence. I in no way even knew what he became into disappointed approximately, till now, in the time of or after-in no way advised me why he gave me the silent scientific care. He did that crap each and all of the time-each and every few days. in the beginning up i became into fairly afflicted by utilising it, then i did no longer provide a damn. His silence became into golden. lol.

"Winter blues"? My a**. He sounds like a drama queen. The longest I've ever gone without talking to my husband is maybe a few hours. Even when he's out of town, we send each other e-mails.

Me and my ex used to go for a week maybe on occasion, but NEVER a month or so......and she's now my EX. You must be an awful patient woman, to put up with such garbage. Why stay married, if THIS is all you're going to get from it? He needs to be YOUR ex too!

Gone for a month or two and that's winter blues? hmmm, well to answer your question.....We don't play that game (or any other mind game for that matter), maybe ten minutes tops......long enough for both of us to realize whatever we were mad/upset about wasn't worth being mad/upset about; there's almost nothing worth that, life is too short.

I don't think we've ever gone more than 24 hours. Even when we lived apart for a month.

Earl and Bubba, two good ole boys from Dixie are quietly sitting in a boat fishing, chewing and drinking beer when suddenly Bubba says, "I think I'm going to divorce my wife - she hasn't spoke to me in over 2 months."
Earl spits, sips his beer and says, "You better think it over - women like that are hard to find.
