I had some (female) friends round at my house recently and my floor is wrecked!! Dark polished wood....Those things are lethal weapons girls!! ;-(

Back in the 1950's stilettoes were banned in many dance halls for this very reason. To answer your question, no we don't. That would make heels pointy and one would teeter precariously. High heels are hard enough to walk in without making it more difficult voluntarily. Although Marilyn Monroe used to have half an inch filed off one heel, so she would "wiggle" more when she walked.

guys love to see girls wearing high heels, but don't realise how uncomfortable they may be. Next time you invite all your girl friends around would you even think of asking them to wear flaties? I bet not! Sorry about the floor though - tell them to bring a polishing cloth!
