Absolutely. Awareness can only be a good thing. You could perhaps look at the issue by age groups. Who is more likely to be caught driving drunk. You could also look back at the prohibition movement as drunk driving rapidly increased during this time. You might also explore the question of buzz driving versus drunk driving... is there really a difference?
All the best on your project.

Yes, this would be a good paper. Narrow it to the what results not only for the drunk driver, but their family, the person they hurt or hit, other drivers on the road, the bars that sold the alcohol to the insurance industry.

It would be an OK topic. It's been done before, but i would narrow it down to what types of people drink and drive. Or How drunk driving has affect our driving laws, what has been done to reduce the amount of drunk driving in america... that kind of stuff would be more origional. Teachers like origionality

Kinda been done, and done and over done dontcha think?
Drunk driving bad
People die
here are some graphs showing number of deaths
any questions?
Really, has there been any new information about drunk driving in the past 25 years?
Why not something more cutting edge; i.e. State of Nanotech, Where are we with cryogenics, Human cloning, Is AI going to pass human intelligence anytime soon and will we be slaves to machines in the near future?
Be creative.
Good luck.

actually as long as you choose the topic so I've got work on it .u can talk about its disadvantage specially between the teenagers
search the yahoo for:
1) how many people died weather they were riding the car or the car hit them.
2) and talk about the drinking itself as it contain how many % which can affect the brain dangerously and could make serious diseases as liver cancer and .......etc
3) when a driver caught drunk talk about the consequences and the punishment and do comparisons between consequences in many countries as Saudi Arabia(which baned drinking) and of course the states of USA
and how could u narrow this by just reading it many times and shortcut it and simplify it

Well, I would narrow it to teen fatalities and drunk driving. I don't know where you live but where I live there have been scores of teenage fatalities involving alcohol and driving over the last two or three years.

I'd use the geographic bent - Germans aren't allowed to drink and drive so they have tavern where they can walk to. Their cars have very few cupholders as compared to the cupholders in American cars. There was a time when U.S. citizens could walk to local bars but zoning laws changed. There's two perspectives for ya. But ultimately it is a person's responsibility to not drive when they're even buzzed. G' luck.

You could concentrate on the laws that apply to a specific state, and research what are the laws and punishments for first time offenders vs.repeat offenders and whether or not tougher laws such as longer convictions really help reduce this problem.
