Um, I believe that was just a ploy to get attention like all other rockers and pop stars that do stupid things to get attention. You know he is not the only famous musician to do weird things.

Don't be a hater. I've seen Scott Weiland from STP wear a dress onstage, too. If you or I wore a dress, we would be fruitcakes. But they are too cool for school.The difference is that they are rich enough to be considered "eccentric"
REM had great music. Losing my religion is one of the greatest songs ever.

They really went downhill when the drummer left the band. Their last album is their worst by far and Up is close to it. I think their last good album was Monster. They recently released a collection of songs from the I.R.S. years. That's when they were great!

They were really good during the IRS days,(the 80's) before they went mainstream and all the teeny-boppers could sing along with their stuff.
