What is "weird shy"?
there was this guy who i was sort into, and my friend knew him better than i did. He didn't say all that much and i asked her if he was shy she's like, "he's shy in a weird way" and she said that he is weird. when i asked her to elaborate she said that he doesn't say much, and when he does, it is kind of weird or not normal. I continued to ask and she said he is weird around girls and she didn't MIND hanging out with him (he was a friend of her best friend) but he's not someone she'd choose to hang out with. I honestly think she is holding back because she knows I like him but i just wanted to find out if he was like that around ME or if that's just how he is.

I have lost interest in him romantically, but I was still CURIOUS bout his behavior and want to not tak

since he says he only considers me a friend, I have put a stop to the hooking up.
and as weird as it sounds, i STILL feel like he is a mystery to me after hooking up. I am at the point where i just wanted to know WHO he is really. I feel like he is hiding and almost refuses to open up to me (that is why i am no longer into him) I have lost patience with him and his inconsistant words and behaviors. I am starting to think there is something mentally wrong with him and i think he needs help.

That's why i find this all very confusing...
maybe he's good with mundane convos but not good with intimacy

Healthy people have a really difficult time understanding the not so healthy. He is not so healthy. You are on the right track, keep a healthy distance from him. He'll either stay the same or get better but it will be decades before there's noticeable improvement. I know, I've been on both sides.

Yeah, this guy seems different, He may have personal issues he's dealing with.. past problems, etc. Making him so odd, with a few things, sucks when he won't say much.
To keep him as a friend, only is your choice, as you said, you 2 have hooked up. Maybe you should actually just leave it at that, and carry on. Don't look his way for anything , other than a friend now, or it could get complicated for BOTH of your emotions in the end.
Do You need that?? Nahhhhhh... get a REAL relationship going!

I don't know how old you guys are, but that COULD have something to do with it. I'm NOT taking sides, but he may not have been around many girls yet. Some guys that haven't been around many girls don't know how to act in general AND, if you have mood swings (I mean that in a good way), he doesn't know what to say or do. It freaks him out. You decide what you want to do, but weigh ALL the factors I mentioned. If you think he's worth it after doing that, go for it.

I dont think that there is anything wrong with him. Sounds like he is just shy and lives in his own little world, so he doesnt know how to talk to people. IF you feel uncomfortable around him, then stop hanging out with him.

He may possibly have social anxiety disorder which is quite common. It sounds like he is very shy and has low self esteem. I doubt that he is really wierd, it's just that people percieve his silence as strange. He can be helped with this.

persons are continuously telling me that. i'm "shy" to the element the place i'm in simple terms awkward, and that i stumble on it least confusing to no longer teach any expression in any respect around absolutely everyone yet my acquaintances. Being shy shouldn't advise being strange. human beings used to assert that to me in severe college.. i think of that it may lead them to sense awkward, in case you're no longer asserting plenty, then they could't say plenty in return. yet somebody else advised me that it creeps them out to no longer be responsive to plenty approximately somebody because of the fact they do no longer communicate plenty. because of the fact they are "mysterious", and human beings don't be responsive to no count if to believe them or no longer, or what they are like. possibly this is because of the fact they are afraid to be diverse. I agree.. they shouldn't make any judgements till they actually be responsive to the real you. they could say this is strange.. this is not any longer. in any respect.

By "hooking up" you mean you saw each others, like, naughty areas?
Sounds like a serial killer to me.
