How can she be racist if she is half white?

she is not hateful eh? she is actually very down to earth. I just think that saying things like that will rub people the wrong way

Just because she is half white doesn't mean she likes being half white. She can still have hatred toward the white race.
Maybe it's her idea of a joke....a bad joke.

Sounds like she just loathes her white half.
I do believe that people can be racist against their own race. Additionally, I suspect your friend probably does not look white so that makes it seem all the more racist.
