I dont mean any disrespect but Ive had a couple gay friends and they all cheated on their boyfriends, and the boyfriends also cheated back. Maybe its just because its twice the testosterone, twice the horniness?

Not at all.

Now there are some males, hetero and homo, that will stray. That of course is a seperate issue and has nothing to do with orientation.

This is a great question. Yes it is for a few reasons:

1. They are men. I know it's a generalization, but men are usually more likely to cheat than women. In a gay relationship, you have twice the likelihood. I think to a certain extent, women keep men "in check" in their relationships. Men are not as strong to resist sexual tempation as women are. When you have two men together, there is less stability. Which leads to reason two...

2. Gay marriage is illegal. Gay couples are not given the civil rights to legally commit their relationships. Therefore their bonds are weaker, and the ability to end the relationship is stronger. It's ironic that moral conservatives oppose promiscuity but they don't want to give all Americans the tools that could curb it.

3. Not as important, but still significant... There are usually no kids involved in gay relationships. Children can often be the glue that holds two people together (for a while anyway). Having no kids makes for a cleaner and easier break.

I think part of it is because they are not in a recognized relationship. They are so used to hiding and being secretive about their life they are not on the same page as some married couples.

But now seriously we all know people who have cheated, men and women, lesbian and straight.

I also wonder if gay people are more open about their indiscretions? Maybe the straight people keep their cheating More to themselves....

i don't think this is the case for everyone. yes, it does seem many gay men cheat, yet many straight men also cheat.. society seems to set the rules and it seems to be ok for men to cheat.. gay men are no different than straight men, but society likes to create myths about gays in a negative form..

and heck, let's not let the girls off the hook. many girls cheat too!

That's a male thing, not a gay male thing. Straight men (and women) just tend to hide their cheating.

It all depends I guess. What's more important love or lust.
To me it's love. If I find someone that I'm madly in love with in every aspect then I wouldn't think about cheating. If I'm dating someone though, that treats me like **** than I'm going to go find someone else.
