Those two things are completely unrelated.
I think what you meant was, does caring for a cat when your 14 make you a better mother in the future?
And I would say no, because cats are survivors, they can survive just fine all on their own, unlike babies. Sure you can spoil a cat, but it isn't really dependent on you to live. Being a mother is instinctive, if you care about your baby, you will instinctively care for it.
Babysitting is something that will affect you abilities as a mother. Any girl (essentially) can get pregnant, but it takes a lot of TLC to be a good mother.

a girl had a cat? or a girl cat had a cat? as in .. gave birth to a cat?!? I'm so confused ..
if you meant OWNED a cat when she was 14 .. then no, it wont affect her ability to have children. We had many cats when I was a child (up until 18 years old) .. and I am now 21 weeks pregnant with a very healthy, very active, baby boy! :)
good luck! God bless!

not at all.... i have a cat now, and im 35 almost 36 weeks pregnant. a cat will not affect your fertility, its the cat LITTER that you need to worry about, but only while your pregnant. The fumes in the litter and bacteria can cause toxoplasmosis... so no, a cat while you were 14 wouldnt affect your ability to get pregnant now.

No, it isn't the cat that creates the problem for pregnant women, it's the cats litter box. Pregnant women can be around cats, just not their feces (poop). It can contain toxoplasmosis. Having a cat as a child has nothing to do with future pregnancies. Having a cat while pregnant is ok too as long as the mom-to-be doesn't empty the litter pan.

No. The risk of cats occurs During pregnancy and is related to toxins in the cat litter. Women who are pregnant bear no risk with cats so long as they do not, breathe the particles of toxins in cat litter. Therefore, some minute risk may exist if handling a cat who has just toileted and has not washed its paws. However, frequent handwashing is an effective preventive measure. Cats are generally naturally conscientious about their personal hygiene.

no. I am pregnant and still have cats. the danger in cats when pregnant is the litter box. IF your cat goes outside and eats raw mice. IF you cat eats any raw meats... then the litter contains a chemcial that can damage your baby's brain development. I am pregnant with in door cats that eat no meat. I also use a mask and gloves. no problems at all
