What is better for young couples: North or South Myrtle Beach?

I'm going to rent a condo or beach house and I can't decide whether to stay in the Northern or Southern area. Which is best for 2 young couples staying at the end of August?

Neither! Went there too many tourist, and a lot of trash. Not a fun place to go to enjoy the beach. Over rated you can get condo's other places for cheap an be on the beach.

there's less traffic on the north end but less things todo unless you like to go to bars..the south end has more things to do. hope all of yo enjoy your stay here.
