Ok. Bahamas is a no go. I've been to St. Thomas and Hawaii.
Hawaii is AWESOME. Golf, weather, black sand beaches of Hana, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach on Oahu, Maui is AWESOME. Stay in the Kaanapali area. Beautiful beaches and not much wind because the mountin behind you shields you from the wind. Also, alot of shopping in Lahaina.
St. Thomas is nice too. Not much golf. Water is definitely warmer there than Hawaii, though. Can take a ferry to St. John for a day trip. We found a COOL place to stay called Secret Harbour on the east side. Has a tranquil private beach with unbelievably warm and clear water. Almost no wave action. Beautiful sunsets. All the condos on beach have beautiful views. White marble tile floors. Iguanas running around on the beach. Restaurant at the condo is right on the beach with a beautiful view.
Gotta go. Hope this helped.

John gave you some very good advice. Rent a home and go to St John in the Virgin islands. Not sure about golf but the beaches are beautiful and there is great shopping. (duty free) you are close to the British Virgin Islands so be sure to take a trip over.
I don't know where you live but Hawaii is a long trip. If you have 2 weeks, I would consider going because the golf is top notch. The jet lag is rough on you especially come home.
The beaches don't compare to the Caribbean but the scenery is beautiful. It's that once in a life time trip because of the distance.
The shopping doesn't compare to the Caribbean either. The people are nice and the food is American ofcourse.
I would not recommend the Bahamas for a honeymoon.
Congratulations and have a great trip.

Forget the Bahamas unless money is a concern. They don't belong in the same category as the US VI or Hawaii. My recommendation is Hawaii. The South Pacific is truly a different world and Hawaii is a tropical paradise out in the middle of the ocean, hours from anything. I would suggest Kauai or Maui. Kauai is arguably the most beautiful island, with rugged green mountains, a rain forest (actually is the wettest place on Earth) and a desert canyon that rivals the Grand Canyon -- all within an hour's drive of each other. It is quieter and more secluded than some of the other islands and no structure can be built taller than a palm tree. Maui is also stunningly beautiful, and features a volcano. It is a tough call as to which island is the more beautiful. Maui is not quite as secluded as Kauai so has more to do, but also has high rise hotels. Both islands have golf, shopping and food. Hawaiian beaches are rougher than in the Caribbean though -- more suited for surfing than floating with a drink in hand -- so be forewarned. I also love the Virgin Islands -- they are my favorite islands of the Caribbean. Hilly, green and exotic but not as other worldly as Hawaii. St. Thomas gets 3-6 cruise ships a day and is all about shopping. Stay at a hotel away from the commotion unless you like that kind of thing. St. Johns is more beautiful (in fact features two beaches rated as the most beautiful in the world), but it is also more secluded with less to do. We spent a day in St. Johns but stayed on St. Thomas.

Forget the Bahamas. It does not come close to the virgin islands or Hawaii. If you have the money go to Hawaii. I have been there 3 times and it is my absolute favorite. But, it is expensive.
A bit less expensive is the US Virgin Islands. You will spend about 1/3rd less than Hawaii. It is closer and VERY nice. Beaches are outstanding. Golf is tough to find but it is there. Check out www.mclaughlinanderson.com for villa rentals. This is the best way to go. Private house with private pool.
PS - Don't rule out Bermuda. LOTS of golf. The beaches are not as nice as those in Hawaii. But, it has a nice "wealthy" British ambience. Check out the Pampano Bay Beach Club. Google it. They have a website. Medium size, very nice and great food.

Having been to all the places you are considering; I recommend the US Virgin Islands (or other islands nearby.) If you can locate a "Sandals" resort that is your best option if you can afford the rates. The Sandals resorts are "adult couples" only. No children and no gay couples allowed! So, you will have a great, quiet time to enjoy just each other. Lots to do or nothing to do! Your choice. It will cost about $4,000-$5,000 per week for two (not counting airfare.)
