As someone who does not do a good job of "keeping it simple" I would have to say yes, because the person who got a thumbs down for a long but accurate and thorough answer has no idea that the reason behind the thumbs down was simply because of your opinion that it should be short and simple. The administrator of yahoo does not place a limit on the number of characters; therefore, you are using invalid criteria to resulting in an ineffective judgement call. I hope I used the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle well enough for you; however, many engaging in this practice called Yahoo Answers Do enjoy the art of "pontification". Do you have any more questions?

If you don't like the answer for any reason, you can use the thumbs down.

Hahaha. Nope. Half the time, people don't even read those long winded answers, so you're doing us all a favor.

Nope. People usually only read the first three answers anyway, and then just vote from there. So, kudos to you for giving yourself a chance!

I do it all the time. There may be no such thing as a stupid question (except on YA), but there are definitely stupid answers!
