it sounds like chef-o-lara or shif-o-lerra. any information or just a correct spelling would be great.

I believe the spelling is schefflara or it is very close to that. Give it a try on google. Not a lot of experience with this plant myself, but do buy it for crews at work

I think it's spelled sheffileria....It is an ornamental plant and very common in most department stores as well as p[laces like Lowe's and garden centers. They are very easy to take care of and like lots of light but not sunlight all the time, light is fine. They like it moist in the house, they are tropical and they enjoy drying out and then being watered well and being fed at half strength more often and resting during the winter if you are in a cooler climate. Good luck. Not sure about the spelling but I do know it is an Shef.....

It is spelled schefflera but its common name is the umbrella plant. I am certain about the spelling. There is a number of different plants in this family but the most common are called umbrella plants.
