..financial issue? Do u really think that it is the real ..financial reason?

The Population Research Institute (PRI) says virtually every Western or Westernized nation on the planet is slowly dying off because birth rates have fallen below the 2.1-child-per-woman replacement level.

We have burdened the woman with the responsibility to earn for the family in addition to raising the family. The pressure on her has resulted in such practices.

Yes I think that finances do play a big part because I have one child and I would love to have at least one more but we can't afford it. One other thing is that you hardly ever see the traditional family any more becuase as long as you're not married you can recieve most if not all of the state and federal benifts that the governments have to offer. If you don't have to pay for food, housing, and medical coverage then why not have as many children as you can.

yes! and i think its smart. i would rather have one child and raise that child well. give the child everything that i could possibly give him within my means, then having 4 or 5 and have the government give me money to half a s s raise them. people that have fewer kids, in my opinion, are responsible enough to think of the future, yea the kid will be growing alone with no siblings or maybe you have two children or whatever, western society won't dispear, there will be other people who really shouldn't have the right to reproduce that will even out the scale/ratio.

I think money has very little to do with it. People who want kids will have kids and adjust their lives to their finances.

Saying the nation is slowly dying off is very alarmist. A decrease in population is not dying.

Yes. We don't want to raise our children in poverty. The world would be a better place if everyone stopped reproducing like rabbits.

No I don't. I have no children because I have never wanted them. I believe children should be born to parents who want them and will love them. I was one of the ones who wasn't and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
