Freak you out? Maybe. But keep this in mind - the best marriages are ones where each feels safe sharing who they truly are with the other. If you can trust your spouse with the information and they don't make you feel bad (doesn't mean they have to like it) then your marriage is good and close. If they ridicule you for something like that, then you'll never speak your mind freely again.
My wife and I are working on this - we cannot crucify or humiliate the other for expresses their fantasies or desires, and we have to trust each other with our deepest inner thoughts. This can be stressful but brings us closer together.
