There is a guy in Baltimore who always washes my car windows for me. I always give him as much change as I have. I have to be careful because I can barely feed myself much less him.. I find him very useful and since he is actually helping me out he definately get's compensation. ;)

yes and i do frequently to a guy who is living in the parking lot of a local target, hes not really asking for $ tho..his sign says 'hungry, will work for food', i dont have much $ right now but he's always thrilled with just some food, so I run down to MickeyD's down the street and get him a happy meal. I actually took the time to spend a few minutes talking to him (from the safety of my car) and he said he is trying to get some $ to get a place, but being homeless its a bit hard to get a job..he told me the main thing he's thinking about is where he can take a shower...he didnt sound illiterate or drunk or drugged up...just sounded like he had some really bad luck or made som bad decisions...

Yes I have but there are times when I won't...a woman seems to hunt me down everytime I am at this particular mall...she is actually dealing drugs and lives in a very expensive apt complex across from the mall. Why she begs I have no clue. She'll beg for change in this feeble voice (usually on very cold nights dressed in a very thin coat...really plays up the part well) and when you haven't any to give her she begins her verbal insults, i.e. oh you're too poor, don't know how to manage money etc. A very strange individual.

No, I wouldn't. I'd buy him a meal or a decent coat before I gave a homeless person spare change.

last time I was in san francisco partying it up for my bday, we walked by a homeless person that was asking for money... we were both in good spirits so we offered all the change we had... he saw it was change and it wasn't good enough for him so he declined (it was over $3 in change, he said he only wanted a bad of chips... hmmm)

Yes, as long as he/she LOOKS homeless...sometimes you have those ones with the Togos and nice looking clothes and smell good, going "give me a chance!" No way!!!
