Whats wrong with redneck? South Florida needs a little cultural balance. Go to Miami and you are in another freaking country altogether! You feel like you are sort of in the real USA when you visit Davie. It's one of the few places left in So Fla. where people actually speak english. I love Miami and it's diversity, but the pretentious,hostile people and the traffic can get a bit overwhelming at times.

There are friends of the family that live in Davie..the part they live in is all trailer parks filled with rednecks. But down the road they are building million dollar homes. So I would say yes, Davie is a redneck town, but slowly undergoing change.

Yes. The people there are extremely racist and they live behind ******* trees! I always hated passing by Davie to get to Sawgrass. My family and I would get dirty looks by passerbys in the cars because we were Black & Hispanic. My cousin's friend also had nosy White neighbors who used to call the cops on them for no reason. BTW, that huge wooden cross in the middle of a field doesn't help with the whole "redneck" thing either.

Sadly yes. I have lived in south florida for 20 years and although i dont live in davie, i know it well. There city hall looks like an old general store. Its actually quite funny looking. check it out.

Yes, had run in with rednecks there, IN A POOL HALL GOT KNOCKED OFF A CHAIR FOR PLAYING TOO MUCH HIP HOP (black music the two guys called it)
& i WAS WITH ALL HISPANICS ALMOST TURNED INTO ONE OF THOSE T.V. bar fights
cops are racist ect. but then most places in So. Fl are especially in broward counyt.
Miami & it's all hispanics & other minorities who can hardly drive with out totalling your car!

no, it's kind of country in a way(you see horses with riders everyy ondce and a while but that's it) - but not realy - my cousins live around there (we vist them often) - it's a homey city away from all that hustle and bustle in Miami - message me if you want to know places to go in Davie
