Because you have to offer a product that people are compelled to buy. Some sites like youtube or myspace got lucky with something that attracts advertising revenue. Very few e-commerece sites make great money, and all the money making schemes are bound to fail.

It's actually not that difficult as long as you have someone to guide you and you are prepared to do some work. My information business is growing very nicely and earning me a growing income.....

I’ve found a fantastic company to get me started called Sitesell. This is the very first time I have ever built a website, so I needed a company who could take me by the hand, step by step!

I have nothing but praise for them! They make EVERYTHING so easy! They supply all of the online training, simple (yet incredibly sophisticated tools) and excellent support.

The cost is just $299 (£170) per year. That includes all of the above plus domain registration. They even supply the templates for designing your site! And don't worry about html coding or other techy stuff as that's all taken care of for you!

My site is only 9 months old. It is already very highly ranked by the major search engines and is attracting up to 1000 visitors a day! Plus it generates an income which not only covers the costs, but actually shows a healthy profit!

You can get more details from my information page at:

Best wishes

The secret was to start 20 years ago! If I knew then what I know now I would be filthy rich! Back in the day when simple tricks like typing in your keywords in the background the same color as the background sent your site to the top, buying domain names at 100 bucks a year, McDonalds tried to sue some sap for his McDonalds.com saying he was infringing on their copyright! They lost and paid him 4 mill for the rights, etc

Honestly, the only fool-proof way to make money on the internet is to sell "Make money on the internet" schemes on the internet.
