I want to have some singing lessons but by an academy or school of music. I wondered if anyone knows of a place like this and with not too expensive fees.

There are some really good part time lessons at a college called 'The City Lit' in Holborn, London http://www.citylit.ac.uk You need to be over 18 though. It is quite cheap. Also Morley College do lessons, they are near Waterloo. http://www.morleycollege.ac.uk

I think these guys are good for more popular music, any age - http://www.singing-lessons-london.co.uk/ - good luck!
