I've travelled to about 70 countries, sometimes with my mother who is over 60 years old.
You don't say where you would be travelling from, and at what time of year. Actually, these details are very important when considering any holiday.
However, in general, I would recommend cruising (see your local travel agent for details), Southern Europe (Greece, Spain, Portugal etc), and North Africa (Tunisia, Morocco etc).

Sounds like ur lookin for a relaxed slow pacing kinda holiday.Try booking a cruise from Denmark - Norway..Scandivanian countries are rather laid back.U can always check if u can get accomodation outside the cities. In a surburban area, wer u can juz lay back n relax , absorb the view.Sweden is a big country but most of the places are covered by natural beautiful landscapes. If u want to experience a place wer time forgot,is actually Prague.Or if u want somewer thats warmer, try Greece's Santorini Islands.A sight u'll never forget every morning when u wake up.Blue seas & white wash buildings, friendly ppl & experience the feelin of remote fishing villages, yummy fresh seafood, kick back & relax & enjoy the most beautiful sunset in ur life . Things cant get any better! Good Luck searching & have a safe trip!

My guess is that placing your answer in Greece category you want something from Greece...
I suggest no island, even if there are some really nice ,small, sandy and quiet islands that seem perfect for you, you'll spend many hours in a ferry trying to reach them.
So,I suggest Chalcidiki (Halkidiki) ,in Macedonia,North Greece. It is near Thessaloniki(1 to 2 hours tops).Search it in Google and you'll see what I am talking about. Its 3 "legs"(characterasation for how it looks like in the map) offer everything:sunny, clean, quiet breathtaking beaches, crystal clear waters, great hotels/motels/resorts,the lowest prices you can find in Greece(at least the lowest I've found for summer vacations) and even more.Even if in the 1st "leg" ,which is the nearest to Thessaloniki, offers a very good night life also,I would say that Chalkidiki is perfect for family vacations or for person of your age because it is not so much crowded,at least not between 25 of July and 15 of August, like the other summer destinations in Greece. Also google-search for Amouliani ,a small island with golden beaches, across the 3rd "leg",the "leg" where the Mount Athos is(Holy Mountain).
I hope you'll have a great time!

i might take what you'll be able to discover the money for. I stay on the factor of Malaga and that i many circumstances have lunch in a tapas bar. i can get a lager and a tapa for a million euro, yet you may seek for the less costly ones. food indoors the food marketplace isn't less costly, in spite of if the sparkling produce is the great you may purchase. excursions would be severe priced. Wine and beer is less costly. The Spanish gained't pay greater useful than 2 euros for a bottle of wine Guiri is right, keep at Lild's, their stuffs great and likewise you won't positioned across some ingredient with you

Depending on the time of the year for warmth one would choose summers. Sadly, most of Greece in inundated by tourists in the summer, but there are still a couple of places that one can find refuge.
Zagorohoria in Epirus if you like mountains and meditative serenity. If you prefer the sea, there are two small islands, favorites of mine with about 35 residents each. Kastos in the Ionian Sea and Trizonia on the Patraic gulf. The accommodations are spartan but there are NO vehicles in either. Email me if you wish more details.

no problem, how about 2 weeks touring the Renaissance cities of Italy - start in Rome, head to Florence, Verona, Siena, Ravenna ...
Or, 2 weeks touring Spain. Start in Madrid, with day trips to Salamanca, Segovia, Toledo, then head down south to Cordoba (to visit the stunning Mezquitta), Seville, and Granada ...
Find hotels on Hostelworld.com ...
Find flights on Skyscanner.net
perfect!

I would honestly try Saga. They specialise in holidays for the over 50's so instead of holidaying with lager louts you can go with saga louts ;-)

Unsuitable accommodation will come down to your travel agent if you are telling them what you require in your accommodation then they should be able to find suitable accommodation.
Without knowing what sort of accommodation you require I can not recommend any particular hotel, but feel free to email me with any requests.
