she's my best friend since 5th grade and now we're in 8th grade and she told me "sex is overrated". she's really hot and everything but she has a boyfriend. we got into this discussion when she said this after i asked her how things were going with her bf

The best way i have found is just agree with her but in this case i wouldn't.Find some one else if you want to get some.You could show her a good time and than she wouldn't think that any more.U know what i am talking about.

Let's put it this way, if she's that sexually experienced by the 8th grade, which I highly doubt, then she's not somebody you want to be hanging around with ok. My guess is that she likes to lie and brag for the attention factor.

Sex IS overrated, especially for children. It doesn't even get good until you're in your early 20's.

she probably thinks people just need to shut up about it. it doesnt mean she doesnt want to have sex, she just doesnt want to hear about other people having sex. i dont blame her, id much rather be having sex than listening to other people talk about it.
since she's so young though, she probably isnt comfortable with sex yet becuase its a new thing to her. just give her time and space and dont push her to do something she doesnt want to do. she'll come around.
but most importantly, dont think shes not interested in sex becuase she calls it overrated. she is interested, but i dont think she's ready, and she certainly doesnt want to hear other people talking about it.
