hospital? This recently happened to a family member and he works as a cell phone sales man, it's not like someone needs the phone ASAP, and on top of that the drive is a thirty plus miles.
The wife felt really bad and i could see it and he acted like a complete.... (cant say it).

Sounds like Daddy doesn't want to own up to his new responsibilites. I hope this isn't a pattern for the future.

I think he could have taken off and took his wife and newborn home from the hospital. It was a little thoughtless. He could have asked permission from his boss and I am sure he would have said yes. He needs some explaining to do. He should send his wife a dozen roses with a card saying he is sorry and that he loves her and the new baby. Sometimes men just don't get it. My son just had his first child a daughter and he is a hands on Dad. He went to all appointments; sonos, etc. stayed overnight in the hospital with his wife and baby;took wife and baby home; now he gets up in the middle of the night, feeds his daughter; changes her diaper. He loves it and I am so proud that he is considerate of his wife. I guess I brought him up right.

He may have had to work, and could not get the time off. That business, like a lot of businesses, has minimal staff at each outlet. I don't know his situation. On the other hand, I think it is poor planning and follow-through on his part.

I feel very sorry for this woman-the guy is obviously a complete azzhole. His number one priority on that day should have been his wife and child, not some stupid job that's a dime a dozen.

That's kinda low. On the surface it seems like he could have been there. Now if he couldn't such is my situation: I had to do the same thing to my wife because I had a contracted time to work. If I broke my part of the contract, I would've been up s--ts creek. - then I could understand.

the only way this wouldn't be unacceptable is if she or he wasn't sure he is the father, and they are not married,he was forced into the marriage with a shotgun, he knows he is not the father AND she is a total beotch

I can tell ya that there is somethin really wrong and he needs to wake up ... and the wife shouldnt keep quite ... thats for sure ... she needs to stand up and fight ... for her rights ... plus how hard can it be for him to take her home ... he is a ....

well alot of people do it so make what you will of it. some couples know they need to work to get cash to support family. theyll be plenty of days to catch up. me personally thats a day i would take off.
