I think we all know that it's a bunch of crapola. If the disclaimer baout the final outcome of the vote being up to the producers of American Idol wasn't enough of a hint, there are the results. Chris Daughtry losing to Taylor Hicks, especially WEEKS before the finale? Fantasia Barrino beating out Jennifer Hudson? IT's all hooey.

In between. They made a comment once about how they get more votes then the president. I don't think it's fair that you can vote more then once for a person. They may not be THAT good but because they look good or have 200 friends that have nothing else to do but call in 15 times each they move on.

I do think that America is doing the voting. However, I think that the reasons for their votes vary, and all too often have nothing to do with true talent.

He has nice hair. I'll vote 23 times for him.

But, I LOVED her dress. She'll get 82 of my votes.

And I feel sorry for him because Simon was mean to him, so I'd better vote for him a bit too tonight.

And....wouldn't it be funny if we all voted to put someone through just because they COULDN'T SING?? (not mentioning any websites in particular)

I also believe that money and connections play a big part in the voting process. If I can afford to hire a staff to call nonstop, you bet my little Kather......I mean Veruca will get what she wants!

I could be a complete dumbass but I think the voting is legit....how many seasons has it been on now? Too many for it too not have already leaked out if it was a fraud....also, can you imagine the lawsuits? I think they have to answer to someone but I don't necessarily think everything is on the up and up!

You dial a number. They say thank you for voting for contestant #such and such. How hard is that? It HAS to be on the up and up. Otherwise how do explain Taylor Hicks winning? WHO would to cheat to have THAT happen? Every little old lady in America voted dozens of times for him to win. Not me. I'm 59 but I wanted Chris Daughtry.

Well, I think its on the level. I don't think it's perfect and has flaws that can mess up vote counting, but at the same time i don't think that it's a fraud or that they perposely mess with the votes.

The only thing I think is wrong with it is you can vote as many times as you want.
