Look for the question on page 4 in two hours. That's where my question about the ex-president of the ACLU ended up.

Must have been a real question, and not the usual flame-throwing.

I went to your home page and answered it. I've noticed that questions with Cheney, Pelosi and Kerry haven't been posting lately. Same with the ACLU questions.

I wish I knew. It happens to me too. Sometimes the message actually post a day later than submitted. Sometimes it never posts at all, but shows up on your Q&A as being posted. I think the NSA hardwiring into Yahoo's servers is causing some glitches. They can't read all the questions that get their attention fast enough. Or maybe they are reading them fast enough and simply not letting them through. Big brother is watching. No one should have any doubt about that.

Humanist ... Were they your questions? As you might know, certain messages (questions and answers) that fail Yahoo's criteria for proper etiquette are deleted.

I don't know whether they use filters to automatically detect offensive messages or if they depend entirely on the "Report Abuse" function. I've seen many weird questions and answers in the few months I've been here. I've seen trash, vulgarities, stupidity, and even plots to commit murder.

I've also wondered how thoroughly the Yahoo moderators are monitored. For instance, if there's a moderator who has a screw loose that hates a particular celebrity, their moderator privileges may provide them with the power to easily and quickly find questions/answers with the celebrity's name. Who knows whether they can delete any message they feel like? I surely don't know.

The reasons why this happens is another subject. I hope I've answered your question.

The automated violation system is absurd. Flag anyone and the post will be deleted. You can respond to the email informing you of this, but you will never, ever get a reply, because no one exists to answer.
A bug in the system for sure.

When this happpens to me, I just guess who on the post may have done it, usually 3 or 4 people, and then rummage through their posts and flag them up. Not fair, but soothes me.

I lost my old Yahoo! ID because I quoted the Koran and that was considered offensive to Muslims.

Go figure.

I too wonder the same exact thing! If this is rigged, it will be so patently unfair.

sometimes that happens to me, too...I guess they must have contained some key words that are automatically picked up and then delete your question. Proof that no 'person' oversees this forum. BTW, is that your picture?
