More info-
"Select one "character duo" from the three provided options below and imagine what might happen if placed together at the dinner table. Imagine what one character would THINK about the other character, based upon events which have occurred up to this point in the play.

Well, Romeo has half a brain or more - so I think he'd think Paris is spoiled, self-centered and has impulse control issues.

Paris would think any man that she can't have with a wave of her hand isn't worth having.

So - they'd ignore each other.

(Remember - Romeo wasn't just a love-struck puppy. He thought about the complications of his relationship with Juliet and was willing to sacrifice to be able to be with her. He was willing to defy his family and strike out on his own with her - it didn't work out, but he did actually have a clever plan to sneak away with her. And he was committed and devoted - when things went badly, he didn't just fly off to the Bahamas (or wherever) he died - because he couldn't be with her. YES, it was TRAGIC - but it wasn't shallow!!!)

Lol!

The Paris the asker is referring to is -not- Paris Hilton. Paris is one of the characters in the play and is killed by Romeo in the crypt prior to Juliet waking up.

Paris probably would be unimpressed by Romeo since he has a title (Count) and is related to Prince Escalus. Romeo probably would have nothing against Paris as for the most part he was a realistic intelligent person. Remember he was willing to marry Juliet and accept the consequences.

Had they met under any circumstances other than finding Juliet (supposedly dead) in the crypt, they probably would have had qualms against the other.

If you haven't read the book, read it. It's on Wikipedia. Read it and form your own opinion. Think for yourself. It's good for you.
