I live in Ontario and I keep a full emergency kit, first aid kit and tow rope. I can't remember the number of times I've helped stranded motorists and accident victims. I also took St John's ambulance courses. Pay it forward is a good way to be.

I recently bought a small one, around $10 and put it in my truck. Also bought a blanket at Goodwill store and put it in waterproof bag, along with an extra hat and heavy winter gloves.

I think about what if I'm driving in the country at night and come upon an accident. I'd feel good I could help out by offering a blanket and warm clothes.

Set me back less than $20. And they're there if I ever need them for me to.

I was caught without one when I needed one. But never again I have the UBER emergency kit for my car. Down side is that I will probably be on a plane when I need it. :)

well not a survival kit, but I do have items put away for emergencies in the car. I hope I never need them but then maybe it may be useful for someone stranded.

No, I keep an emergency pair of tennis shoes. I wear flip flops all the time. That's my extent of winter weather.

Where we live, yes; that's a very smart thing to do.

We've already "rescued" people that went out in really bad weather without sufficient clothing or supplies.
