during a tournament in canada a girl refuse to remove her hijab for religious reason is it acceptable in a competition or against the rules?

I fail to see any reason at all why it should not be acceptable, presuming that it wasn't held in place by something that might endanger other players, like a metal pin or clasp.

It is rediculous that this issue surfaced. If it can't hurt someone else, it should be allowed...The strange thing is, the Referee was muslim. Maybe he thinks Muslim women shouldn't play Football (soccer)

there is no metal, so she can not hurt anyone. Girls wear adidas headbands. I do not see the difference.

it's actually against the rules because they can supposedly chock if it comes undone or whatever
