I recently watched My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away with my young son. We loved them so much that I am going to buy them on DVD. Can you recommend any similar films that we would both enjoy.

(My son is only three so no adult films please ).

I'm sorry, I should have been clearer. I am only interested in the same style ( Japanese ) animation films. Disney is not what I am looking for at all.

Mononoke Hime (Princess of the Forest) by Hayao Miyazaki sensei, it is about enviromentalism, love for nature, and some very beautiful nature scene in it. (My friend Andy gives it triple thumbs up) Again, the love between Ashitaka and San-hime (princess San) sets the scene in a pre-Feudal Japan countryside ruled by Moro the wolf goddess. The conflict between man and nature, between man and technology, between love and duty, between beasts and man, as well as the inspiration of first love.

Many of the other Studio Ghibli movies are great as well. You might want to hold off on Princess Mononoke -- it's a bit intense -- but Kiki's Delivery Service, The Cat Returns, Castle in the Sky and Howl's Moving Castle are all excellent.

"Norbit" with Eddie Murphy, or "Dr. Do Little" with Eddie Murphy... Um, lets see....... Cartoon's, "Beauty & The Beast", Or that movie with the Big Green guy, who falls in love with the princess, and they find out she's one of him, too.. I forgot the name of it, and they have a part two of it... It's called: Shrek, and Shrek Part 2... Both, just Beautiful movies, for kids!!! Norbit, does have some cussing, so you may want to take him to see just "Dr.Dolittle" instead.. Or rent the above Movie's for him/her... Becuase I dont think any of them but, "Norbit" is playing anymore, at the movie's.. Have Fun, I miss it when my children were all small.. Such "Prescious Ages!!!" Enjoy, him while he's small, because time flies by sooooo fast!!! Smile!!!!
