Are you looking for something specific here? affecting your trees? Just like with animal life, there are bacteria, viral, and fungal infections and some of these are only found on certain types of trees.
ExampleA - fireblight- bacterial, found in many fruit trees, actually looks like growing tips of branches were singed with a torch, treated by careful pruning and the antibiotic streptomycin.
ExampleB-powdery mildew- fungal, shows up in orchards and on many ornamentals like crepe myrtles, appears as a fine dusting of white powder on leaves, associated with humid conditions and lack of good air circulation through the canopy, often just runs it's course as weather conditions change, but usually to prevent damage, fungicides are sprayed. Proper pruning can reduce it's occurance.
Try the web site for your state's cooperative extension program for more info on the type of tree in question if this is not what you are looking for.
