I am writing a comedy script and have initially named him Buddy Waffle. Is this too stupid a name for a LA cop on the hunt of terrorists? I am thinking of naming him Buddy Spade instead. I am not giving a way too much of the script but I myself feel the script so far is really funny and would make someone a hollywood star of comedy....

I think personally Buddy Spade sounds better than Buddy Waffle. Buddy Waffle sound too stupid. If he has a girlfriend you could make her a fat Latina called Lola Lopez or Lola Taco Bell.
That would be really funny. Plus, he could have a little chihuahua called Carlos Pancho.

You say "I am writing a comedy script and have initially name him Buddy Waffle." This DOES NOT make any sense whatsoever! You are calling your 'comedy script' 'him'! A script is NOT a 'him'. A character in the script could be a 'him' however. I hope your script writing skills are not as bad as your question skills! You asked this earlier and put it the same way so you obviously think it makes sense. But it does not. You need to edit yourself more properly, especially your script. Also, I don't think the world is yet ready for a 'comedy' about 'terrorists' this soon after Sept. 11. Remember that? Not very funny.

Don't listen to haters. If you think it's funny, someone else probably will, too. I don't think Waffle would work, however. It sounds a little too corny. Lastly, I'd avoid saying things like your script would make someone a Hollywood comedy star. There's no way to predict that. Chances of that happening are like 0.000001%. That being said, write it, revise it, revise it again, show it to your peers, and revise it again. Maybe you'll wind up with something good!

Why not name him Buddy Lame.. it sounds like it would be perfect for your script.
