I'm talkin like deathmetal real angry noise, like beyond trying to understand what the guys singing cos hes not really singing anything but really just yelling and screaming. I live in Dallas and theres an assload of this stuff goin around the local scene. I like to get all amped up and rowdy to some fast hard guitar riffs just like the next guy but this stuff is crap. Its all the same, and they try to play it so fast that they start to get hella sloppy, but you cant even tell. Its awful. I just dont understand why its so popular with so little substance. Honestly though what could you replace it with... Fallout Boy? My Chemical Romance? nah, guess metal may be just filling a hole...
Either way we need to get past this trend and on to the next one.

I don't mind listening to metal. It is very touching music with a great message. I love music I can't understand. I'm tired of bands, such as Tool, who actually have something intellectual to say. We need more neandrethal metal to bang our heads to. I wanna hear screaming to the point where I don't know what the **** the guy is saying. I wanna hear loud power riffs that have been ripped off over and over again. And as far as Fallout Boy and "MCR," I love when bands sell themselves out and become nothing more than popstars with guitars.

Metal is no worse to you than rap is to me. Its all opinion. I personally cant figure out why so many people like rap music that is degrading to most women and has nothing positive to offer...... EVER! I would rather hear 'death metal' and not understand what they are saying then to hear rap lyrics telling kids that abusing 'bitches', having guns and doing drugs are cool. :)

yeah metal is gay. it was gay in the 80's, and still is. no - talent. i'd rather listen to panic at the disco. but they are gay too. I'm not gay though.
