Amen sister! I watched the Oscar's once about 15 years ago. I haven't watched since. Besides, they play so many clips from them on every channel for months after. Eventually, you see who got what. Whoopie.

I'm in the Biz and thought they were pretty boring. I dig Scorsese but can't he do something else besides NY mob flicks? Good for Forest Whittaker and I thought Pan's Labyrinth should've gotten more recognition. Ellen was ok - I think the clips and music were flat.

What makes it the most boring to me is everone who wins now just gets up and thanks a bunch of people off a list. Who wants to see that?
I know that they are grateful to those fine folks that helped make the movie so entertaining for us all, but the speeches I remember are where the person says something heartfelt.

I thought Ellen was hilarious and I loved the Dream girl performance, but other then that it was pretty boring. It's like that every year so I'm use to it.

most awards shows are boring, but i thought jon stewart hosting last year's oscars was boring too!

I thought they were okay... parts dragged, but the skit with Will Farrell and Michael Black was okay...
And of course the big liberal love fest for Al Gore brought chuckles to my tummy.

it was OK people getting acknowledged for their accomplishments plus Jada pinket smith is HOT
