There are 2 steps:
1. Select the word.
Goto the begining of the word. Use Shift+Right-Arrow to select the complete word.
2.Put An Under line.
Press Ctrl+u or
U button on the tool bar.
Now , If you press Right-Arrow Now you will have a under line for the word.

Go to the tools in the toolbar. Before you do anything else with Word I would suggest you "play" with it. Start a line and utilize every option available to you. Change the Fonts, Italize, Bold, go for all of it. Only through trial and error will you realize what you can an can not do with Word.
Instead of underlining I would utilize the Italic in a larger font size.

select the words by using mouse or Shift+ ->/<-- keys.
use ctrl + U to underline all words by one line.
use ctrl + shift + W to underline each words seperate.

if u have font and the settings on the tool bar then just click it and click on underline.
if not...right click and u get the options of font. in tht select font. and tick underline.

I assume you mean "underline."
When typing, you can press CTRL + U to underline what you type. Press CTRL + U again to stop underlying.
And for god sakes man, learn to use some punctuation.
