I think it's from the movie Fatal Attraction but have not seen it, only seen it refered to in other movies

In Fatal Attraction the Michael Douglas character dumps his mistress ( the Glenn Close character ) so she breaks into his family home and cooks his daughter's pet rabbit as revenge.
Since then 'bunny boiler' has been used to refer to a woman who goes crazy if she is rejected.

There is a scene in the 1987 movie Fatal Attraction where Glen Close's character Alex Forrest boils the familys pet rabbit because she is mad about being rejected by Michael Douglas' character Dan Gallagher. This is a very good but creepy movie! More info is at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093010/.

My ex-wife became a bunny-boiler... actually poisoned my puppies following our divorce ! She served a year in jail... servicing the corrections officers.

it is from Fatal Attraction, Michael Douglas cheats on his wife with Glenn Close and then she goes PSYCHO. she like kidnaps his kid for a little bit n stuff. there is a scene in which glenn close boils the bunny.
