Whenever I go to the gym, I usually wear spandex shorts -- sometimes they're spandex pants. But I always notice women glancing at my crotch. I remember I was speaking to a much older woman at my gym, whom was middle-age, and I noticed her glance at my crotch and leg area while speaking. Then I recall numerous other times at the gym of women taking double-takes and looking towards my crotch area.

I was jogging once outdoors and a woman walking towards me could not keep her eyes off my crotch.

I also ran the marathon last year in my city, and I honestly lost count how many women were glancing or staring at my crotch. I wore dark-blue spandex long pants/tights at the marathon.

I know I'm not imagining because I've seen this pattern over a long period of time.

Can someone explain this? Aren't women always making big deals about men glancing/staring at their breasts? So then isn't it hypocritical when they have to stare at our crotches?

I can't speak for anyone else. If I see a guy with a nice butt, or in spandex who has a nice package, I'm probably going to notice. And when guys talk to my chest instead of my face, I know why.

It's human nature, I don't understand why anybody has to get so worked up about it. All people are people watchers, to some extent. I have also been known to point out a nice rack on another woman.

I'm not even sure that there is a hypocracy, by and large. I imagine that the majority of women who are bothered by being gawked at would never gawk at a man's package. I imagine that the women you've caught checking you out are simply less concerned with all that, and simply doing what we humans do.

I understand that men can be attracted by women's reast, but after 16/17, they should be used to it, and shouldn't STARE. Yes, there is a difference between having a quick look, which I think is natural, and staring.

Now, your crotch! It's very unusual for men to wear tight pants/spandex, you have to admit that! So I think that's why women are staring. I agree, it's kind of rude!

And you're right: some people have double standards. I personally don't like tight shorts on men, except when they go biking (well, you HAVE TO wear those special pnants when you bike), but I don't understand why you got such sarcastic answers from people.

I've always disliked seeing men in spandex and if I look it's because I'm trying to make sense out of the psychology behind it. Even if a woman wore something which tightly outlined her genitalia to such a degree that you could see every detail, I would surely glance - NOT because I find it attractive...but because I find it distasteful and silly and hard not to zone in on - just like any peculiar vision . The same criteria applys to a man. Double for speedos at the beach.
But hey. Go with it.

Well spandex I'm sure you already know this but spandex defines ever curve of a body...and yes like guys staring at women's breasts there are women out there like that do...

I'm sure you have a sexy hot body because i know that looking at your crotch is not the only spot that women are looking at.

I know that you must feel embarrassed or very insure of your self and that is okay women feel the same way....

If you want to stop this whole predicament....well if were you...i would wear something a bit looser around that area.

not all women make a deal about getting checked out, as in the same way not every single woman you encounter is going to stare at your crotch. then again, if it's true that it's natural instinct for a man to stare at a fine woman, than women must be the same probably.

Women are human beings too. We have natural sex drives. Normal women are attracted to the opposite sex. Women stare at men's crotches for the same reason men stare at our breasts, legs, and butts....it gives them pleasure! If it makes you feel uncomfortable, then, stop wearing the spandex, and, trying to show off that area of your body!

Maybe it's because you are looking at your own crotch all the time and they are trying to figure out what you are looking at.
You gotta remember that people at gyms and in marathons etc.are more into the bodies and physical appearances then the women that you run into elsewhere. So it is just where you're at.

If guys "always stare at you, but never approach you", it means two things. Those guys are either nervous, needy, beta, or misguided. And... they think you're hot, and may like you a bit. There are no other reasons a whole population of males noticeably hold their gaze at you.

It's just a reflex. Yeah, some men look at boobs and butts and some women do look at crotches, especially if they're on display. If it bothers you, put some running shorts on over your tights. I'm a runner and I see it done all of the time.
At a marathon last year I saw a guy dressed in skin tight black shirt and tights. It looked like he had a sausage taped to his inner thigh. It was difficult to miss. I didn't want to look but I guess curiosity got the best of me.
