Although this is an urban myth, my house alarm kind of works that way...if you go straight down the center of the keypad (2,5,8,0) instead of typing in the alarm code, it sets off a silent alarm, which alerts the alarm company to a home invasion hostage type situation.

I believe it's only true if you changed your pin to 9999. By the time you key in 999 the police are on to it. But make sure you do it backwards. Try it.
