no its not wrong gays and lesbians are still human and the sooner religion wakes up to that fact the happier the world will be and while they are at it might even swell the congregations a bit as in the uk churches are always moaning theres not enough bodies in the seats

There is nothing wrong with it to me at all. But it's up to you and how you feel about it. Don't let peer pressure dictate who your friends are. Judging by your avatar, you are probably a black male. Do you have white friends? Female friends? There is no difference to me. Base your friendships on the personality and character, not gender, religion, handicaps, etc.

No, it's perfectly fine and Good to have friends of all colors, sexualities, religions...etc.
Just because your religion doesn't approve of homosexuality does it also say you can't be friends with those of a different religion?
What kind of a religion is that?
That's not a religion, it's a cult. (if that's what they tell you)

Yes, it is okay. If you're religion isn't open-minded about such things, and you find yourself disagreeing with their beliefs, maybe you should find a religion which is supportive of your beliefs.

its not wrong in general
the only wrong friends to have are people who bring you down; who you dont get along with and who dont add value to your life
i have had to sever friendships with some of my gay and straight friends because they werent really friends
they were leaches or only 'fairweather" friends

You can be friends with whomever you want. Do not let others no matter their beliefs tell you right from wrong.
