Titanic was NOT a remake.

The Great Escape (one with NO Americans - sorry David but there were no Yanks that escaped that camp)
U-571 (an historically accurate version)
Braveheart (as above)
The Patriot (ditto)
Pearl Harbor (ditto)

Any of the St. Trinians films (lol)
Interview With The Vampire AND The Queen Of The Damned- with a cast that at least resembles the book versions.

Too many to mention

Well it's no classic or anything but I loved two movies when I was a teenager...
Where The Boys Are '84 and The AllNighter
I'd love to see these remade.

I would LOVE to see the classic "The Great Escape" remade, with appropriate Britsh, USA, German, Russian - 'A' list stars.

Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Sam Neil, Matt Damon, Hugh Grant, Nigel Havers etc etc.

I would also insist that it was a 100% remake to the origional scene by scene line by line.

I would say none because Hollywood does nothing to enhance the films they are remaking.Having said that, I would love to see a remake of "Death Wish".I think that is a subject you could expound on greatly. If you did it right, you could touch on the mental deterioration of the lead character, the cat and mouse with the police, and having to deal with his child's traumatic stress from having endured beind raped and beat.Good stuff.

"Gone With The Wind". I like movies of that era. But I think a modern version would be great. Look what it did for Titanic!! I saw the older version of Titanic, starring Barbara Stanwick, was great. But when the newer version came out, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet ..... WOW.... what a great improvement.

None. The remakes of older films are often crap. As are spinoffs.
Examples: Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Wicker Man, Catwoman.
Directors should focus more on new ideas and originality.

None - I've never seen a remake that was a patch on the original.

A more edgy version of Lawrence of Arabia, more battle and less talk.
