Is there any PHP Class to create an excel file and enter data into it?

I need to export some data from my database to an excel file, I program PHP Aplications.

I don't know PHP but could you just export it as a comma separated file? Excel will open a csv.

Do a search in yahoo for .mht , They are excel file that input info into explorer pages. May help. Good Luck
