My wife has always preferred me with facial hair because it makes me look older. I guess I have kind of a baby face, which I hate. Anyway, I shaved my beard one day when she made me mad and she didn't say anything about it. Since then I haven't grown it back and she said she has gotten used to me like this and likes it. You will eventually get use to his new look. If you prefer him with facial hair, tell him. But really, haven't you ever come home with a haircut that he didn't like? It's the same thing. Love each other for who you are, not what you look like.

You know, that happened to me. My ex husband now, but it was so wierd. He was gorgeous, tall, dark, handsome, mustache. Then he shaved. I really couldn't get over the big difference it made. I had no idea his top lip was so skinny. He looked goofy, but I insisted he grow it back. He still has a mustache to this day and has never shaved it again since the first time. If your husband did that, just remember it will grow back. Thank you.

i do no longer ideas slightly bit hair on their chins yet, I hate the different style of facial hair. My boyfriend would not consistently shave because of the fact he's busy in college/with existence and after we cuddle/nuzzle and such the facial hair irritates my face (surprisingly stubble) XD that's why i do no longer like it.

I can completely relate to this! My husband shaved his off and OMG he looked like my ex husband! Unfortunately, I didn't win this one. He's still clean shaven (except for a mustache). He likes it, says it's easier to keep up.
There's not much you can do except keep telling yourself that you're not shallow! You just find him more attractive with facial hair. Hopefully you'll get used to it. By the way, it made me a little more sympathetic about the time he told me he like my hair better when it's long.

With all the references to marijuana in your user name, why not just light up a joint and relax, MaryJane 420?
Let's turn it around - what does he do when you get stoned and have the munchies from smoking pot and eat every donut in sight and gain 25 pounds and he doesn't find you the least bit attractive? He probably stays with you.
So, that's what you should do with him. It's not like a beard can never be grown again.
Wow - more proof why they call it "dope".

My husband shaved off his go-tee when I was at work and when I came home I didn't recognize him (never seen him without) I almost maced him. Our daughter also did not recognize him and was scared of him for a while. He grew it back right away.

go to a barber shop and have the barber sweep all the hair clippings in a bag for you. Take them home, lather your husband's face with glue and then dump the clippings on top.
Tada...

If you married him for his facial hair / appearance, you definitely shouldn't have gotten married. YOU aren't always going to look like you did on your wedding day either. I wasn't crazy about it when my husband shaved his mustache; but he doesn't choose MY hairstyle so what does it matter? I love him for who he IS in his heart, not what he LOOKS like!

Just tell him, but nicely. My ex saved on his mustache and he didn't even look like the same guy! I just said, "Alex, I really like you a lot better with your mustache. I've seen you with it for so long I don't even recognize you now, and you look SO sexy with a mustache."
He never shaved it off again.
