I needed to send a really important work email to someone who is really senior in their firm. But unsurprisingly, their company wouldn't give out their email. I therefore made up about 8 versions of what I thought their email address could be ie firstname.surname@nameofcompany.co.uk etc. and sent it off. I just blind copied (bcc'd) all the different addresses on the one email. I expected one of them would be the correct address, and I would therefore get seven ping backs saying 'undeliverable'. However, I didnt get a single ping back after i sent the email, so dont know if all of them went through, or none of them did.
Is there any way that he, or his company, could have received 8 emails from me? If so, how embarassing! Please let me know if this is possible.

Why not ask for a read receipt which will tell you if its been read. This is a reply from the recipient to say they have read it but it's totally optional you send it back.
I assume you are using Outlook..

It could be none of the email addresses are correct and they are blocked in the company server as spam. In that case you won't receive anything back and the person your attempting to send to won't receive anything at all. Its common practive not to give out email addresses to someone outside of a company, especially if they are a very important person.
