I've heard people get through the entire park in 4 hours yet they still charge the same as regular Disneyland

I, personally, love CA! Granted, it doesn't have as many attractions as Disneyland (this park focuses more on shows and live entertainment), but some of the best rides are in this park! Soarin' Over California, California Screamin' and Tower of Terror are among the list! I compare this park to EPCOT at Disney World. My husband and I refer to EPCOT as our chill park. CA is kind of the same way. You can really take your time and see and do everything.
If you are still unsure, I recommend you get a park hopper pass. This way you can go back and forth between both parks. And if you feel you've seen everything you wanted to see at CA - you can just go right on over to Disneyland to spend the remainder of your day.
At CA, be sure to see the Aladdin show! It is amazing - sit in the Mezzanine area!!! :)

I personally like it a lot. Yes, it doesn't have as much stuff to do as Disneyland, but it's still a unique and enjoyable park. If you take advantage of all they have to offer (more than just rides), you can spend much more than 4 hours there.
In my opinion, Disneyland is still definitely the better park of the two, but it's been open for 51 yrs, and California Adventure has only been open for 6. I think California Adventure has a lot of potential to become a really great park, like Disneyland, but it just needs some work.

It depends on who you are and what your idea of fun is, etc. I personally like the park, and yes, you can pretty much get it all done in just under a day, especially when the crowds are much smaller there than at Disneyland.

But then again, I have never once paid to get into that park. =P I used to work at Disneyland and got in free during my employment with the company, but I still get in for free NOW because I have friends who still work for the resort. =P So for me? Nah, it's not a rip-off.

I think it's worth it to go at least ONCE in your life, but I highly doubt I'd pay to get in JUST DCA. The park hopper tickets are a better idea.

Personally, I like California Adventure. So there aren't as many rides as other parks---it's all about the California experience, Disney style. There are some unique things to see and do there, and, as I'm writing this, they're working on some new attractions.

You can get through the park very quick. Thats why they close it before disneyland. But its alot of fun. They have a few more better rides there than disneyland. I liked the water ride best for those hot summer days.

Well its sort of a rip off for people who go for the rides but if you look for shows nah. Still theres a lot of plans for DCA. Theres been reports of DCA getting a Cars ride similar to the one in Disneyland Epcot the Test Track one. As well as a Toy Story ride as well which is similar to the Buzz Blasters. I just would say for me its a rip off since I just hate shows. But I want to go to ride their coaster. I go to DLR and its fun because theres a bunch of rides which are for kids which I enjoy. Even though I'm a coaster enthusiast I have to slow down for a while and take a kid ride you know? DLR was the park I would go to when I was a kid and I like going there just to have a great time. Still remember the 2 reasons I gave why and why not its a rip off.

The park has 2 drop rides, 2 roller coasters, It's Tough to Be A Bug, a raft ride, a fun ferris wheel, and much more. You can easily spend a whole day there.

Nope. Its totaly awsome. You should go there if you have never explored California before. California Adventures is just like a Mini-California. Still, You can still enjoy the realistic Soar'in over California or Ride the California Scream'in.
