If you go to USPS.com you can basically print any dollar amount of postage you need and tape it on :)

One Dollar Stamp

I have seen $1 postage stamps at the US post offices. They are in the stamp vending machines, and availble from the counter.

I would suggest usps.com as a starting place to see if they have a picture of one.

$1 is a very standard denomination of stamp. Any post office will have them in stock, and you can also buy them and have them sent directly to you (with a dollar service charge, regardless of how many you order) at usps.com.

usps.com will also show you current denominations of stamps available for purchase if you're really set on using stamps rather than metered mail. I think there are restrictions on some--some are intended for international/air mail (usually the ones in $1+ denominations)--but I'm not sure if you CAN'T use those for other purposes.

Just go to your postal office, they will adjust the amount of the package to the price it costs to ship it.
